Android Question Designer how to ?

While using the desgner I get am app running on the device where you can select different themes (Material Light, Material etc), how do you make this selection active on the current project?
no matter what I select when I run the project it goes to plain vanilla theme.

The app selection is only for you to be able to see the different themes.

You can change to a dark or light theme under Project - Manifest editor. You will see a line that sets the theme.

Thank you Erel, why does this app get installed with no notice message or option to not do it? this confused me as I expected that what I selected here would be somehow applied to the project.
