iOS Question Designer layouts: No such file or directory

Now I know the most likely cause of this is a bad disk but before I pursue that I wanted to check if anyone else has had problems with designer layouts disappearing in B4i 4.00.

The layouts are actually there and I can open and edit them. They look normal. And I can resolve the problem simply be saving them under a different name and updating the LoadLayout statement. But this happens again and again. I am on version 4 of some layouts. I'm not having any other disk problems and a disk analysis passes all tests.

This is the first time that such an error is reported. What happens if you right click on the files tab and choose Sync? Do they appear?

All of the files are there even before clicking sync - and afterwards

No, nothing that I know of. This has only started recently (2 weeks) with no changes of any sort on the pc.
