Is this a realistic possibility?

I know that in the past Erel has said that he doesn't fancy having to maintain two sets of software and that he is obviously up to his neck in the IOS project at the moment but I think it would a great addition.

I would love to get rid of windows altogether. I travel a lot and not having to cart a laptop around would be fantastic

As B4A needs access to the ADK and JDK, I don't think this would be possible, or at least extremely difficult as he would need to create both himself. A better solution might be to compile remotely using something like Remote Desktop, or a service like GoToMyPC.

Maybe a better suggestion would be for Erel to created an online version of the compiler which you could access through a subscription, then you would just need the IDE for whatever platform you choose to develop on.

I for one am not interested in programming on a small screen with a virtual keyboard even if all of the required development kits could be installed...

Not all Android devices are a small screen with a virtual keyboard. Been wanting to replace my old XP netbook for a while now. I want to get an Android tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard as it would be more portable, would be nice if I could develop on itas well.
