Developer or not developer? That is the question

First of all, sorry for my english, that's the first time that i try to write a "long" post.
A long time ago i had an argument with my friends, talking about difference between work and hobbies. When job is pleasant, for sure is easier than a job that we don't like. I am developing some application for hobbies, but since 2 years, developer is also my job. I work for an Srl and i develop some software/application for congress. I use b4x to develop application, and c#.net for uwp software.

I think i have basic job skills: i can develop software that can use Json, database (MySql and Sqllite), i know so and so php (and how to connect with a remote server using php file) and how to write a "good layout" (iOS Standard and Material Design). I can not write code in java or object c, but if I have to integrate an sdk into the native project i can do it (i do not know how to create libraries). I've worked on several projects, creating very different applications (weather api connection, digital signage, chat, a looking for group application, photo applications and galleries, rss and twitter aggregators, apps that share posts on facebook), but i really i don't consider my self a developer.
For sure, for me @Erel, manfred, and another thousand people in this forum are developer, but when i see them that write fantastic libraries and wrapper, or when i log on Facebook and i see in developer group the skills of other people, i think I can not understand a lot and that there is still a lot to do. I'm 20 years older, so maybe i could become a real developer, but I wonder if it can always be my job that will at least guarantee me to keep a family economically

"I think different" is a 20-year Apple TV spot.

But I think you're wrong thinking you can know where the future will go, you can not foresee the future of your job. I know many people who are highly competent and yet do not work as developers and other people with fewer requirements than we are working on.
It does not depend on skills.

So to your question if tomorrow you can live earning as a developer, my answer remains the same.

When you find out, let him know me too

Hi.
IMHO, the question is answered with another question:
Why not consider yourself a developer?
Perhaps you do not solve problems?
It is the same case of a carpenter who uses automatic tools and the one who does not. Is he "much more" carpenter using traditional methods than other one that uses the latest technology?
As a customer answered in an interview, when I explained that I did not know Java or Objective C (and i don´t have in mind to do such thing), but that I can develop on Android and iOS:
I don't care if you know or do not know programming languages, even a monkey can learn it, what I need is that you solve real problems in real devices and that the solutions can be downloaded from the App Store, can you do such a thing? Really? Fine, you're my man.
Do not depreciate yourself for knowing or not certain programming languages, value yourself for the ability to create and design solutions.
This is the biggest problem we have when it comes to put price our work, even we doubt if it worths the price we ask for.
Congratulations, you're a developer.
