There is no good reason to use an old version.

If it does not work then it must be generating an error...
What is the error?

I have had this issue in the past where a new version broke my app.
However, it was not that the new version actually broke my code - it was in error in the first place! The new version just exposed the errors of my incorrect code...

I'm sure it's something with my program, I was just hoping to try it with 8. I'll look into it more and if I can't figure it out I'll make a new thread.
