I am trying to build a calendar in B4J where appointments can be moved in time and day using draggable panels.
However, I’m stuck — mainly on the drag & drop part.
I have looked at the examples Draggable View, jDragAndDrop(2).lib, and Drag textfile into TextArea, but I still can’t get a panel to move.
I suspect I’m either overthinking it or missing something basic drag&drop lessons.
My setup is a panel representing a day, repeated 7 times side by side. Inside each day panel are appointment panels.
These are positioned according to a timeline, with their height representing the duration (similar to Outlook Calendar / Google Calendar in week view).
Does anyone know of an example where drag & drop of panels is implemented, or where I can find the correct information?
I’m not looking for a complete calendar solution — I hope I can build that myself — but I do need a starting point for drag & drop.
Thanks in advance,
Marc
