edittext capitalization

I have an android phone that automatically capitalizes new contact names etc. I can't seem to find a keyboard setting that will do the same with b4a. Is there a way to have the keyboard type the first letter of a name (for example) as capital and then the subsequent ones as lower case?

Hi rusty, have a look at documentation under "core" and search for "Replace" and "ToUpperCase" sorry I don't have a computer in front of me.

This can be done by setting InputType property. The constant is available so you will need to write the actual value:

EditText1.InputType = Bit.Or(EditText1.INPUT_TYPE_TEXT, 8192)

You can find the constant value here: InputType | Android Developers
