is there a way to remove the long line on bottom of edittext view or another way to get input text without that line?

Try setting the Color property.

Here is a snippet that does it for you. Make your colors transparent

Change EditText Colors

Setting Color is simpler and works for me. You may want to alter the Padding as well.

    EditText1.Color = Colors.White ' Removes bottom line
