EditText is initialized

Hello Folks

Sorry for my stupid questions.

In my current project I use two EditText in the design, when I click them I get a keyboard just as I'm expecting.

I can input values from the keyboard into the fields.

But when I press my calculate button the values for the EditText's is initialized - why oh why

Unfortunately there are layout files missing in your project so we cannot test it.
But from what I have seen, you should remove the two following lines:
EditText1.SelectAll
EditText2.SelectAll

Your imvImage_Click routine can be shorten to:

Thank you for your always very fast reply

I can see that I got to learn using the computing (well counting) of values in a project, I hope to get at this level in the future - rigth now I'm clapping my small hands when a program actually works

I have removed the SelectAll thing, but I cant get the EditText1 and 2 to stop initialize ie. they are set to zero when I press calculate button

I have a feeling that these lines
B4X: 
EditText1.Text=Div
EditText2.Text=rad
Should be
B4X: 
Div = EditText1.Text
rad = EditText2.Text

You may want to check (using IsNumber) that the text in EditText1 and EditText2 can be converted into numbers before you try and use them.

...and possible "bor" too.
