Android Question empty stock email trash

Hi,

I run a nexus 5 with the stock email app

My problem is that I can't empty the trash by selecting all the mails. (I can do it mail by mail which is quite long).
It seems that it is a "bug" of the stock email app : https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=5623
(no possiblity of multi mails selection)

Do you know if there is a way to programmatically open the stock email app and force the deletion of a mail. So that I could make a small app to loop on all deleted mails to trash them ?

You could delete App Data & Cache (via Android's APP-Manager). But you the lose all the data.

I tried to do this but the "delete data" button is grey (not accessible)...

Only the cache can be deleted
