I think that I have seen this when opening a file written with a later version of Basic4PPC than I was running. I think that you can see the version number in the file with a text editor.
It may be possible (it was for me) to create a new file and paste portions into it as read from the text editor.

The files come from the forum. To copy past it is what i do, but of course I must define all objects. I am looking to make small programe to create a new source.

Hi Olivier, I think that Erel aims for backwards compatiblity where any version of Basic4PPC can read files from an older version (but not vice-versa).
So it could be useful to report which files and versions are involved.
