Fields with KindleFire

Hi!
I am deveolpoign an app for my kindlefire but the textEdit shows as line I wanna know if I can show the textedit as box like other tablets,

I checked all properties about edittext but doesnt appear something like that.

I read a few techinques for kindlefire from here but he doesnt talk anything about this.

Any cluees?

Which version of Android is this Kindle running?

Starting from Android 4 the line is the default style.
