File Manager

There are many referencies to "File Manager" in the documents such as:

" Files (Core) - File
[read only] Returns a reference to the files added with a File Manager"

Other references talk about having a File Manage installed

What is the File Manager?

I know what a file manager is but I don't know which file manager is being described.

I'm sorry if this is really basic stuff but no place in the forum or in the documentation does it say what file manager is that I can find.

Ok,

Well I was under the impression that the "File Manager" was part of B4A or the OS. I should be clearer in the docs.

Any File manager will work just download one. Another difference is I'm working on the emulator only and its so slow it takes a long time to do things.

I'd think with a PC running win7 x64 with a AMD 4core @ 3 ghz and 16 gig of ram things would be a little faster.

That said it does indeed work and I'm grateful for that

Yes, the emulator is dog slow but better than nothing if you don't have a test device.

It is indeed not clear enough. It should be:

Returns a reference to the files added to the Files tab.

talking about file managers - since Android doesn't come with a decent file manager and we certainly need one on a device once in a while (I anyway), File Expert is a good one:
