Probably in the latest version of B4J (right now I am using version 8.10, despite having 8.50).

However I would prefer more highlight, my eyesight is no longer what it was when I was... 59 years old ?


EDIT: yes, v. 8.10 doesn't have that feature, 8.50 does.

There is no reason to use an old version. Always use the latest version. It is also possible to make it more prominent by changing the CurrentStatement style in the theme file.

Maybe I remember wrong or I misunderstood but I seem to have read that it is not possible to directly run the jars generated by B4J 8.50. This was the reason (is, if you confirm it).

There isn't a single thing that you can do with B4J 8.10 and can't do in v8.50.

You are confusing a different thing that is not related to B4J version, but rather to the Java version.

Yes you can run them, provided you have Java 8 jre and jdk installed and selected in configure paths.

B4J v8.80 beta is just released. ?

#JavaCompilerPath attribute. Allows setting a JDK other than the one set in the global settings. Syntax: <java version>, <path to javac.exe>. The exact version isn't important.

I installed both Java 8 and 11 because B4i uses Java 8.

I have both installed as I have a lot of utility apps and don't want to have to package them every time I make a change, the new #JavaCompilerPath will be very useful.
