B4J Question Finger print scanner

Hello everyone. I'm trying to design a project to create an employee time clock. I'd like it to be a two-step process. I already have the second step, but I want the first to be done using a fingerprint reader. Do you know if there's any way to read a fingerprint scanner (store new users, read data) from b4j? Also, keep in mind that I have no Java experience, so a wrapper isn't feasible.

Best regards!

This all depends on the type of fingerprint reader.
You also need the information of the data you get and how to control it.

Thanks for your reply. I'm free to choose the reader; all I need is one that works. I've been playing around with a Digital Persona 5400, but I couldn't find an SDK or anything similar (at one point, I considered using Visual Basic, although I personally prefer b4j), but I still haven't found an SDK.

Compatible with DigitalPersona SDKs
Sounds like the same as 5400
