Need some help concerning the screen resolution of my tablet.
I know that there exist a couple of hints concerning this subject in b4a forum but I am getting more and more confused.
I got an EasyPad 970 (9,7 inch tablet) which should have a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (that's what I can read in the pad's manual).
Now, when I log the next three code lines, I get very strange results
I used also Activity.Width/Activity.Height but got same result.
Thanks!
Erel,
No I haven't changed manifest file (I know what it is for but I never would change it). Compatibility mode? What is that?
I developed my software on a Asus Transformer (1280x800, 10,1 inch) and everything looks excellent. Most of the views have been designed by the Designer and not programmatically.
Can you tell me. How to change "Compatibility Mode"?
some additional information.
I installed some examples from b4a forum to my Easypad (1024x768) and all look perfectly on this screen resolution. When running my app on this table I can recognize that the activity tile – for example – looks about three times bigger then normal. When starting degugger even the message "Waiting for IDE Debugger…" looks about three times bigger.
There must be something going wrong in my settings????
But once more, I haven't changed manifest file.
In the meantime have done the following steps:
1) created a brand new (empty) project
2) Imported all *.bas, *.bal and picture files
3) Rebuild code on EasyPad and Transformer
And guess what happened?
Screen resolution is okay on both systems (on Easypad I have to do some adjustments, but it looks far better than the original project).
I never opened the manifest file knowingly with an editor and changed this attribute!
But nevertheless! I removed the manifest file, rebuild code and it works.
