I have recently acquired a GPS20x USB GPS receiver, but Garmin don't provide a serial port utility, or other means through which I can read data from it..
They do provide an SDK (Garmin: Device Interface SDK), and some PDF files describing the commands and data format. I wonder if somebody here might be able to create a library (or wrapper for their USB driver)..
It seems that other Garmin SatNav / GPS devices might also communicate with the same protocol, so it could be a useful facility..
Garmin used to have a USB-Serial utility, called 'spanner', but it isn't available for Vista..
Initially, I only need NMEA support, but this receiver is also capable of sending 'raw' data, which should be suitable for post-processing (for better accuracy).
