Android Question Google Voice Application

I've noticed the following with the voice recognition application. When I load it and speak to it the word or phrase I have spoken displays on the screen. This is normally the most accurate. In my code it returns 5 possibilities supposedly in order of accuracy. Often the first in the list is different to that which was displayed and not as accurate. Has any any one seen this? Is it possible to capture the word or phrase that was displayed?

The list of results is expected to be ordered by the confidence score in a descending order. There is no other way to get the results.
