Essentially and Android-based phone with a full 3D motion tracking capable of mapping its surroundings.

Looks very interesting, high speed indoor mapping would enable you to create 3D models of items or environments just by walking around them and waving your phone around. Also, Google could then combine data from multiple phones to give much more accurate street view 3D scenery and loads of indoor 3D scenes too. They could basically use this to map everywhere in the world. Attach this to cars and you have a realtime 3D map of all roads and traffic conditions.
