Android Question Graphic Designer - pop up or drop-down list?

I am trying to make a settings panel with drop-down options from a popup box. Don't see this option in the

You can use Spinner.

Spinner is indeed the native view that is most similar to Windows combobox.

You can use TabHost to implement the tabs, or better use TabStripViewPager.

why not? as erel mentioned it is similar to windows combobox or in html dropdown list<select></select>

my try to make a pop up in the same activity.
i not like comboboxes, most of them at pc did not use the screen space.
i like to open a list selection via button click. (this will also give the possibility for a search / filter in this dialog)

Keep in mind that you are doing UI for mobile device which has much less space compared to Windows desktop. I found spinner good in my cases. If I would like to do it differently, then I do in for example in custom dialog with listview or customlistview.

Android Spinner is not a "wheel picker". There is no native wheel picker in Android.
It behaves very similar to Windows ComboBox.
