Android Question HAXM issue

I keep getting this error message when attempting to run an Android emulator from AVD:

emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration!
Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable.
CPU acceleration status: Please disable Hyper-V before using the Android Emulator. Start a command prompt as Administrator, run 'bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off', reboot.

SDK Manager says HAXM installer is installed. Windows 10 shows Hyper-V is off. Confused.

I realized later that the SDK just installed the installer, so I ran it and it told me I couldn't install HAXM because "This computer does not support Intel Virtualization Technology." Win 10 running in a VMware VM on a Mac Mini. Not sure where to go from here. Welcome to suggestions.

Ok. I thought perhaps the today's newer equipment would make Android Emulator sufficient. So if I install Ginymotion on my Mac, it looks like I must hook it to a VirtualBox VM instead of creating a dedicated VMware VM for it. Is that right? I will if that's necessary, but I'm wondering if I can just create a VMware VM for it to use since I already VMware installed.

If you were running Windows natively on an Intel box, then the new standard Android emulator works really well (using an x86 image)

Genymotion uses virtualbox by oracle and perhaps this can create conflicts in your case since you are using vmware to run Windows in the first place.

I have Genymotion installed and using VirtualBox and I can get a emulator running fine. But B4A running in a VMware Windows 10 VM fails to see that emulator. I even tried connecting to it via the B4A Bridge (using the emulator's IP address) and that does nothing at all. I imagine this is because I'm running B4A in Windows 10 in a VMware VM, like you say.

Pretty much giving up on getting the Android Emulator to work. All I get is a black screen device and none of the suggestions I see on the internet help. And Genymotion doesn't seem to help either when I run it in a Mac OS X VirtualBox VM alongside B4A in a VMware Windows 10 VM.

Looks like I can only connect to actual devices now.

I have the same issue running on Win10-Pro/64. Downloaded HAXM install file from Intel site but when I try to install it says that Intell service is not running....it is like endless chain....
I installed Android Studio hoping this will resolve problem but no progress. Please help.
