I'm trying to run this example from the link, but it returns an error, can anyone help me?

I need to read barcodes through the application to search the database. If there are any newer features, please let me know.

Solved by changing the SDK from 28 to 33, and I also added all_formats to read our standard EAN code here in Brazil.
