This App shows 17 different historical Citymaps between the years 1836 and 2000 of Freiburg (SW-Germany) on a Google Map. The maps are provided from the land surveying office of Freiburg as a OGC WMS service (web mapping service). The user can seamless change the transparency of the historical maps and can compare the historical maps with the google satellite view and see his position on the map.
