Homemade keyboard

I have an application with 4 Textboxes. I want to turn off the keyboard and create one with just numbers, period, and the back key. I can not figure out how to determine which textbox currently has focus, so I can add the keystoke. Any examples of such a homemade keyboard?

It is more than what you need but it might help you. You'll see there how to get the sending label (I use them to cover the Edittext) and how to return the text keyed in to the same label.
