iOS Question Hosted Builder performance

Hi Erel

I noticed the hosted builder fails from time to time but it has gotten worse and on Mon 8th Dec it was down all day for me. Have other users experienced same or some settings changed on my user profile need to be checked on the hosted machine.

Please let me know. I will try to produce a build today again and see.

Which error do you get when it fails? The servers are online.

The status dialog shows:

Parsing code. (0.04s)
Compiling code. (0.08s)
Compiling layouts code. (0.02s)
Building Xcode project (0.21s)
Sending data to remote compiler. Error
Communication error: RequestCanceled

Now the host builder has been working for me ever since I started using it 7days now. But has started timing out to which at this point has failed to compile or build.

I tried it on different ISP as well just in case some ports or IP's were mow being blocked but same failuer.

Any thoughts on why Im getting this not reaching the hosted server based on the timeout error posted above? Has any upgrades happened on the hosted builder within the past 2wks may give rise to this behaviour. Perhaps my user credentials where purged in error or something?

Hi Erel,

Is my experience a valid issue being worked on related to the hosted builder servers or I need to check something on my configuration? Which is odd because I changed nothing it just stopped compiling using the hosted builder. Please let me know what to try to resolve this.

There are no known issues in the server side. Try to increase the timeout value under Tools - IDE Options - Configure Process Timeout.

Changed timeout from 30 to 120 still no success. This is both confusing and frustrating. Its like a port or IP is now being blocked but I did no changes to my system before this occurred. Please do double check because as of now I have no way to check my app revisions which is critical. I planned to setup my own mac compiler in about 3mths but based on this I will have to spend sooner than later on purchasing a Mac. SO will need your help to set that up I am guessing.

I don't know if you made any changes but it is working again altho taking 3 times as long to compile but it is now working thank goodness.
