Hello ,
In my car I'm able to use my phone hands-free through bluetooth. What do I have to do to make my apps use this bluetooth kit too? For instance , i made a small app where I record audio and play it back. I want to use the mic from my car to record ( like you would when talking hands-free) and I want the sound to be played through the car speakers ...
thank you

I do not think that this is possible. It would depend on the Bluetooth profiles you car set offers. Most car Bluetooth sets usually provide only the Headset Profile (HSP) or the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). The way I see it for your intended use you might need the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). Not 100% sure about this though. I would love to use this too for one of my applications.

You might want to check this link:

Update:
I was just checking the car profiles on my phone and noticed that my BMW 320 supports only telephone functionality, but our X1 and the RAV4 support additionally Media support. So maybe it is possible then. I'll keep checking.
