Android Question How do I bring a third-party app to foreground?

I start from my app, Google Maps for routing...

How can I prevent the routing restarting, if I start GoogleMaps again from my own app? Is there a way to bring GM into the foreground from the background?

You should find the application intent with PackageManager.GetApplicationIntent and then start it with StartActivity.

The exact behavior depends on the third party app.
