how to call the GPRS function of my phone

first, sorry for my english~~^^

i have tried the Basic4ppc a few times, and tried to build the chit-chat, finally it can run on my phone. when i connect my phone to the computer through the usb, and it can work and communicate with another client, however if i disconnect my phone from the computer, it seems that the chitchat software can not use the GPRS to communicate with other clients.
i just wonder how can i do that ? could anyone help?

Does you browser work with the GPRS?
You can try to open a link with the HTTP library (to google for example). On some devices it starts a connection.

Thanks Erel, my browser could work properly with the GPRS, and i also set a GPRS connect. as you have said, to google^^, then with the GPRS connecting, i tried that software, it seems it couldnt neither~
