How to create app like "B4A-Bridge"

Hi

not sure how it is called
I need to create app that is running also if I exit to main menu (either if pressing on "home" or many "back"s)
meaning when sliding from up to down, I see B4A-Bridge icon and if i press it, it will open the B4A screen (with the 2 buttons)

is there simple example for it?
I found how to create service but I am not sure this is what I am looking for...

Are you just looking to create a Notification in the notification area? (that thing that goes up and down)
Or do you want your app to run in the background ALL the time?

To run your app in the background you need to use services. (Probably foreground services).

what to do with the running layout?
meaning finish.activity, send to back?
I need to not show the GUI anymore, but the service still need to run

Yes. You should also call Service.StartForeground to avoid Android from killing your process.
