How to draw a images in specific position

In B4P, we can use "form.fDrawImage (imagelistbp.Item(0) ,x(i),y(i))" draw a images in specific position, and erase it use "form.FErase(x(i),y(i),x((i)+25),y((i)+25))"
it's so easy
and in B4A...:BangHead:
who can tell me how to do it?

You are refering to the foreground of a B4PPC form.
This functionality doesn't exist directly in B4A.
But you can use transparent panels as layers, draw and erase on these layers set them visible and invisible.

Attached a small test program showing it with an activity background image and one layer.

Would this be the recommended way to display a splash screen image to control its aspect ratio or would other methods be more suitable?

I don't think that this will make any difference.
Drawing an Image onto a Panel or onto the Activity makes no difference.
If there is any aspect difference betweein the container and the image it's up to you to manage it.

I understand I have to manage the aspect ratio and am just using a simple rule of image height =100%y and image width = .6 of image height. My image is originally 480x800.
