Android Question how to hide/show the webview?

Hi, I'm trying to make disappear a webview and to make it to show again whenever I want..
to make it disappear I use webview1.removeview but then I'm not able to make it show again.. Is there any reversible method? thanks

that won't work in case the webview has any sound/streams.. The sound won't stop

yeah i did read but it would make the things way too harder. . In vb.net it is enough to use enabled=false in order to deactivate completely the web browser, sounds included

Or try moving the WebView off-screen ? although that still probably won't help with the sound ?

i Often use

B4X:

    dim webData as webView
    webData.initialize(Null)
    ...
    webData.LoadUrl("about:blank")

and then you can hide it

btw I think your code in the other question might just bypass this problem.

For hiding or not, property "visible" set to true or false
to return back to the same URL, you can store it into a variable
I don't understand what do you expect to do with the displayed page
