Android Question How to initialise B4XView?

I am trying to use and understand these views but I get an error
java.lang.RuntimeException: Object should first be initialized (B4XView).

The code is extremely simple

so How is the Imageview initialised

There are several mistakes in your code.

1. You can either learn about the activity life cycle or (better) switch to B4XPages.
2. Don't use File.DirRootExternal. Use File.DirInternal.
