Android Question How to read IMEI Number?

Hello all,

I used the below code to read the IMEI number

Sub GenerateID

      Dim P As Phone

      Dim IDAndroid As String=P.GetSettings("android_id")

      Log(IDAndroid)

End Sub

It worked But the IMEI number is unreadable. This code returns a hexadecimal value like 634ccec6eeaXXXX.
Why it returns a hexadecimal value? Is there any security reason? If no How to read the IMEI number properly?

This is not the IMEI number.

You cannot read the IMEI number on new devices.
