How to search contents of a thread in the forum

Greetings, all.

Some threads contain many pages of questions and responses. Is there a way to search within a thread as to avoid asking the same question again?

Any and all responses are welcomed.

The real solution for this issue is to avoid posting questions in existing threads. It is always better to start a new thread for a new question.
You cannot limit the search to a specific thread.
However the search engine does show you results from inside threads. There are small links in the result snippet.
