Android Question HTC One USB debug issues with B4A (Android 4.3)

I wonder if anyone has this model and recently got it updated to Android 4.3

Since the upgrade (in my case it was last week), I cannot see the device nor connect to it anymore through USB from B4A. I still can run and debug apps with B4A Bridge. The USB port is not damaged since I can see the device from a propietary HTC program (HTC Sync)

I know it must be an issue with Windows (W7) drivers, but totally stuck with this problem. I have tried uninstalling and installing drivers again, but no result.

The update probably reset the "developer" settings. I have an HTC One running 4.4.2 and I don't have the issues you mentioned.

I still have the Developer settings enabled and "USB debugging" checked. When I connect the device through USB the normal notification icons appear (well, in fact I don't remember if the "MTP mode is enabled" appeared before)

Will try to update to 4.4.2 and see if the problem persists

Solved!

After updating my HTC to 4.4.2 and moving my SDK folder from program Files(x86) to a plain name directory, I could also update the SDK

Then appeared another error: "adb server out of date..."

Looking at here found a clue of what to look for. I had three different adb.exe in my system. So renamed them one by one until B4A complained about it and I could know where it looked for it. Replaced that file for the latest version and now everything works as before!


When such things happen I realise how far I am from understanding completely all the stuff involved.
