Finally high speed internet is coming to our area and I would love to give up Direct-TV and started looking at streaming devices.

I currently own a RoKu, but want something better.

Have we just stepped back in time?
NONE of the device I can find has number keys (I know I can talk to my device - but why would I and my wife surely doesn't want to)

Yet there isn't a device on the market that lets you type in a number of letter codes for a station and go directly there.

It's like I am back in the 60's where we had wired remotes and all we could do is scroll to get to our entries.

Is it me? Or is there a real market for something like this?

I'm sure it's just me.

Found this (Superbox-S3), anyone here have any experience with it?
I started to watch this...

But I couldn't let go of one central question: Why don't you just get a Chromecast thingie and you and your wife can control it with your phones? Or a dedicated tablet that you have by the TV. That's what I did with my wife's parents, works very well.

I have this xiaomi tv stick. It has a dedicated button for netflix and it is cheap, fast and you can download other programs like vlc. I have also connected to my file server to watch off line movies.
