Android Question Image list changed the size

I would like to know how to achieve a type of list with images like the one seen in the gif image attached to this query. I tried with custom list but I can't change the size of the images. Also when the image in customlist is smaller the background looks white instead of transparent. It needs to be as it appears in the gif.

The best way to implement such control is with a Panel + ImageViews and handle the touch gestures yourself.
