Android Question Image object measurement

Hi All,

I just wanted to know if it is possible to measure the length of an object in a image by selecting reference scale present in the image. Can we measure the pixel distance from one point to another and apply that to the main selected object. The below image will suggest what I am looking for. If you have any suggestions or how to go about it, kindly let me know.

You need to first measure the reference object (you must know its physical size) and then measure the target object. Both should be in the same distance from the camera.

For example in this case you can measure the person head and assume that it is about 20cm. From this you can calculate the fish length.

Yes, so I would have measure the pixel length between two points?

The user will need to touch the two points. You can then calculate the distance with the help of Pythagoras: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/distform.htm
