This is what i saw this afternoon during my snowshoe hike.
I am for a week in the French Alps for snowshoeing.

Are those baby alps in the background, or are they adult alps that are really far away?

These are adult alps, the top of the mountain is at an altitude of 3637 meters and less than 10 km away.
It is at the border between France and Italy.
The village, Bessans where i stay, is at an altitude of 1750 meters.

I never see the snow.? it's really beautiful.

I leave in North Greece... well the last 20 years we have winters "very little-low" snowing... and this is very bad for water and for Nature, general speaking...

Before 20 years... we had more than half meter snow... almost every year... but last years - we have snow at South.... very strange....
