Android Question Imitate Bluetooth Keyboard

Hi,
Has anybody tried or have any ideas as to how to imitate a Bluetooth keyboard?
To explain: I have a Bluetooth keyboard. When paired with an Android device it can be used for input to any app (or at least the ones I've tried) without any other setup.
Can an app on one Android device act in the same way? i.e. pair the two devices and use an app on one to provide input to the apps on the other?

No. It is a different Bluetooth profile. Not SPP.

Theoretically you can implement a new IME (keyboard app) that receives inputs from other devices.

Thanks. I have written a keyboard/ mouse app that works with apps with the relevant code on the receiving device. That works fine.
The real problem is with Android TV boxes. Setting them up/ using them is a real pain using the remote that comes with them.
It would have been nice to have been able to use a phone rather than buy a keyboard. I did try some bluetooth keyboard apps from the playstore but they didn't seem to work!
