B4J Question INA219

Hi,
I am trying to connect a INA219 High Side DC Current Sensor Breakout to my Raspberry using Basic4J and I am not very successfull.

Does somebody have experience doing so. The problem is not the I2C, that works wel, but setting the configuration and the calibration and then reading the values do not work well.

If you find Java code that does whatever you need then we can help you port it.

Note that the product name is B4J, not Basic4J.

I Harry, if you are able to communicate via I2C with the sensor then B4J is not the cause of your problem. This is most likely a communication protocol issue.

If I were you I would have a look at this Adafruit Arduino library and look how it exchange data with the chip.

Hi Toley,

To my best knowledge I had already 'translated' the INA219 library of Adafruit. Today, I went to the very basic. After power up, the contents of the Configuration Register should be 0x399F, at least according to the documentation. But, when I read the Configuration Register after power up and before doing something else, it reads 0x3939. Now I am waiting for a second device, that I need anyhow, to check if it is a device failure or a programming error.
