I have recently made major update to one my app that increase the revenue !

Here is what I changed:
Instead of having a trial time when user tested all the app features for limited time I have changed to having only some of the app features available and other stuff locked for premium users !!!
Simple as that !

No app is perfect , but you worked so much on the app !
Your users might get the feel of testing some of the features that makes you different from the others and get some extra stuff when they pay , so you can keep up going and improving the app.

If one of you is doing my mistake please don't !
We are programmers and digital goods makes difference, sometimes only the way you look at things may change the way your app is monetizing on the market.

I have a radio streaming app with a trial and a paid version. Functionally, they are identical. The difference is the number of shows that are available to stream. The free users complain that there are not enough shows. When I point out that they can get (literally) 100X more shows with the paid app ($0.99), they complain that's too much or they never pay for apps. I wish you luck, though.

In my case at first point the users complain that they can not test the app. I did that by adding trial time but it has been worst.
I feel like your app asks for two little money try rising to 3.99$ and see then, I ask for all my apps somewhere between 4 and 10$. Price is good for someone that loves the app not for those that want to spend money no mater what they buy ! Find that little thing that will get your users satisfaction ...no mater if you let them use 1 radio station ...the best station that they love...and other 100 on paid version, use less stations on free version , if they find out to use 1 or 2 from 50 free radio stations they will not pay for 100. Experiment and follow your experiments to find out what goes best for you ! good luck
