Is B4P 6.9 Becoming a Replacement for VB6?

I'm still trying to learn B4P, but it seems to me that it may evolve into the replacement to VB6 I've been looking for over the past 8 or 9 years. I've tried Realbasic and PowerBasic, but each of those programs makes it feel like you're taking a step or more backwards from VB6. Delphi is about the closest I've found, but I'm not a big fan of ";". With B4P using the .Net framework on the desktop, it seems to me that it could be a pathway into a VB-style.Net program without having to go the VS route.
