Correct and to tell u the truth i preffer doing it by myself. Just buy a big tablet and build a nice desk with wheels and build in speakers, maybe big batery to give wireless power to the tablet. Could be an interesting project.
Hi Ilan,
This is pretty old technology, specially the first one (the second one is just a software). The company where I worked in China in 2011 designed something like this, but this one is different because it uses a very expensive touch screen.. we didn't use a touch screen but a regular screen with a frame around it.. the frame had a IR LEDs around it that constructed a net of XY coordinates.. so wherever you touch on the screen a controller senses your location and moves the mouse there.. in reality it was more complex because it supported multi-touch. The software was the same as in first video.. the table screen was 1 meter x 3 meters and it was intended for business presentations (hi-tech meeting and presentation). there were USB port for every member in the meeting just in the side of the table in front of him. The boss asked me if we could make the table flat (like touch screen) so coffee cups when falls the coffee do not stay in the ages of the table.. They eventually did it.. a regular non-touch monitor covered with additional glass and IR touch system. The desktop PC and the controller were under the table
You notice on the video that it doesn't show the cables connecting the 'coffee table' to the power etc, the camera always seems to miss this, and generally coffee tables are in the centre of the room so the cables would generally be a problem.
