I'd like to send some structured data from a B4A app to a server and have it inserted in an Excel spreadsheet. Since I'm using it locally (on my desktop), my first thought went to jPOI. Can it be embedded in a non-Ui server application?
If it's feasible, I could upload data as a single csv file ora as a list of records (via POST or similar).
What alternatives could you suggest (one could be the aPOI lib to generate locally the spreadsheet than the usual chooser/mail/.. to make it available for further use)?
Should I go to the same path @Erel used here?
In general, I like the server-based service idea because it could be of general use: any app could send its data, instructing the service on how to create the proper spreadsheet.
