I'm slightly more impressed by the moon landing than being born in a specific country. ?

But ok, I'll give you that Italy is nice. ? (Let's not look too closely at the warts every country has.)

I haven't born yet then.
Lucky you ?

I remember as a kid being allowed to stay up to watch it.
For me too, that was my first night awake.

Here, while waiting for the moon landing, one of the only two existing TV channels broadcast a film at night (at the time TV programs ended around 11 or 12pm and started at 10am) "Ultimatum to the Earth" (the first, then the remake was filmed decades later).Exactly, it was my first night out too.

Here, while waiting for the moon landing, one of the only two existing TV channels broadcast a film at night (at the time TV programs ended around 11 or 12pm and started at 10am) "Ultimatum alla Terra" - "The day the Earth stood still" (the first one, 1951, then the remake was filmed decades later, 2008).

it is really weird that since 1972 no human landed on the moon even though the technology today has been improved enormously.

Actually, Apollo 11 is not the last mission to moon. I read that after the first mission, later years there are consecutive missions. There are a wall hanging the pictures of astronauts in these missions at NASA.
I am interested on the low end computer and telecommunication technologies back then which people can make live telephone calls from so far.
My mobile still struggle to get 4G even on today.

the last human that walked on the moon (landed on the moon) was in 1972. a little bit suspicious, isn't it?
since then no one walked on the moon.

Why no one uploaded the video being broadcasted that day on YouTube?
did not understood what you are talking about here.

in my opinion there was no moon landing. it does not make any sense to me.
why for 50 years no one landed on the moon again?
today we could research much better the moon and get much more benefits then 50 years ago

besides that the space shuttle really look like the space shuttle in E.T.
i guess in 2024 Hollywood is landing again on the moon like Hollywood did in 1969 ?

There are people, like my sister-in-law, who say that there was no moon landing and that the earth is flat.
No! She is totally wrong Filippo!
Tell her the earth is a cube with rounded edges and cornes, believe me. That's the truth!

Edit:
Did you know that the flat-earth-people are scattered around the globe? (Posting by a member of the flat earth society on the internet...)

It makes sense. But people are afraid...

Back to topic. But Michael never was on the moon. He was the poor bloke who flew the command module and had to wait for Armstrong and Aldrin, otherwise they would have stayed on the moon. And nobody knows his name anymore. It's a disgrace.

For everybody interested:
Watch this series about the Apollo programme, it is wonderful. Narrated by Tom Hanks.
