I have a company phone (BlackView BV5600).
This phone screen resolution is 720x1344:2.
When I create a new layout, with the above resolution, the designer asks me if I want to convert it to density 1, and I say yes.
So now my new custom layout is 360x672:1. Great!
I continue to create my design... Save it... And I then want to create another, so I go to File, New.... And a standard 320x480:1 layout is presented...
My wish is, if a custom layout had been created, or even several, during a designer "session", then creating a new layout should at least ask if we wished to keep the custom layouts values created.
