Android Question KEEPALIVE ... What is the cost ?

I just fixed a lot of operational issues in my app by forcing it to LANDSCAPE and by setting KeepAlive to True. The KeepAlive is wonderful in that I can hit the tablet sleep button, wake it back up later, and continue on. The app does have an endpoint. It is not something that runs forever.

Can someone please tell me what KeepAlive is costing me as far as battery life, performance, etc.?
