B4J Question Language choice

Hi everybody!
I am starting a new hardware based project and would like to decide in which language to write.
I have 20+ years of experience in delphi, but I love b4j. Is this a reliable choice for a close to hardware solution that works 24 hours a day without supervision?
In this project I have to communicate to printer, communication units, sensors, etc. via rs232.

Non-ui apps can run (almost) forever.

There are many B4J servers that run for months without any problem.
