Android Question Lollipop font size

Lollipop seems to handle font size rather differently. Fonts scaled fairly nicely in all previous versions. However, Lollipop scales the sizes up dramatically. The result are labels that can no longer adequately contain the text in some cases.

Has anyone noticed this or have a suggestion for a fix?

This could have something to do with the fact that my custom font does not appear (Lollipop only) and a basic font is automatically substituted.

Try setting your theme to Holo in your manifest file.

SetApplicationAttribute(android:theme, "@android:style/Theme.Holo")
